What if the Season 1 Episode, Sucker of Souls has censorship?

Hi there. I found and now in the middle of reading a book that is called FUTU.RE by Dmitry Glukhovsky. And I found really big story similarities

(We have a future where people can live forever, and as well planet is overpopulated. and we have a main hero who is in control of illegal birth and cathing people like this.)

Its only me or anybody also see similarities

Maybe you saw some time of interview with Philip Gelatt. Where he tells by who he was inspired. Or something.
